The EU Commission has published the VAT rates in force across the EU as at 1st July 2011. To view the rates please click here. Below is an overview of Malta's VAT rates:
Standard rate - 18%.
Reduced rates
5% - electricity, works of art, admission to exhibitions, museums and theatres, confectionery items, printed matter and certain medical accessories.
7% - hotel accomodation and letting of holiday and licenced premises.
