Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal is pleased to announce that it has merged with Maltese law firm Ganado Sammut Advocates with effect from the 1st May 2011. As a result of this merger, Dr Austin Sammut has joined Dr Tonio Fenech, Dr Christian Farrugia, Dr Antoine and Dr Damien Fiott as partner of Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal under which name the merged practice will continue to operate.
Dr Celia Mifsud has been appointed senior associate of the firm.
The merger of the two firms will consolidate the diverse specializations developed by them over the years, most notably in the areas of corporate and commercial law, tax law, intellectual property law, maritime and aviation law, trusts and foundations, financial services and dispute resolution. In this manner, Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal is in a position to offer an even wider range of services to meet the needs of their local and international client base.
As a result of the merger, Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal now has a complement of 12 advocates besides other supporting legal and administrative staff. It forms part of a wider collaborative professional services organization, bringing together various centres of professional expertise under one roof, including fiduciary and trustee services, back-office accounting support, facilities management, and technology-centred advisory services.
