Company Formation

The most commonly used entity for business, trading and holding activities is the Limited Liability Company. A company can be private or public and has a legal personality distinct from that of its shareholders.

Companies are registered with the Registrar of Companies within the Malta Financial Services Authority which is responsible, amongst others, for maintaining a register of all companies including details about the shareholders, officers and various documents that companies are required to submit periodically.

Company formation is a relatively straightforward and cost effective procedure. Our firm’s associated service provider Trust Alliance International can assist throughout the whole process of setting up and registering a Maltese company.

  • Drafting of the Memorandum & Articles of Association
  • Assistance with the opening of a bank account in Malta and depositing the initial share capital
  • Assistance in connection with the bank’s Know-Your-Client procedures
  • Registration of companies
  • Issuing of certificate of registration and certified copies of the company’s statute and other required documents
  • Registration of the company for income tax purposes and where applicable, for VAT purposes
  • Provision of registered address
  • Acting as company secretary
  • Acting as fiduciary shareholder and director
  • Other related services as may be required
