What types of companies can be established in Malta

Generally, a company is registered as a private limited liability company (ending with designation “Ltd” or “Limited” or a public company (“plc”). A private company must bind itself in the memorandum or articles of association to restrict the right to transfer its shares, to limit the number of its members to fifty and to prohibit any invitation to the public to subscribe for any shares or debentures of the company.
