Exemption From Travel Ban For Yachts

The Superintendent of Public Health has issued a notification that,  with effect from the 5th of June, 2020, an exemption from the earlier imposed Travel Ban was issued, with regards to transiting yachts with only crew on board, from countries outside Malta, with the objective of berthing in Maltese ports for the purpose of refuelling, repairs, servicing, flagging, customs procedures and other ancillary necessities.

The appointed yacht agent is to co-ordinate with Valletta Port and Port Health Authorities, prior to the arrival, to obtain the necessary port entry permits and approval for berthing and the yacht captain is required to compile and submit a Maritime Declaration of Health  together with copies of crew Medical Certificates & Reports.
