Sean Portelli joined Fenech Farrugia Fiott as a Legal Trainee in 2019. He successfully read for a Bachelor of Laws Degree, in which he submitted his thesis ‘An Analysis of the Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive’, which was followed by a Master of Advocacy degree at the University of Malta in 2020.
Prior to joining the firm, Sean worked for another local law firm which allowed him to increase his exposure in the fields of Civil law as well as Financial Services.
Whilst completing his studies at the University of Malta, Sean was involved in several student organisations such as the Junior European Federalists: Malta, as a Project Manager, the Malta Model United Nations Society as a Social Policy Officer, and later as Vice-President, as well as Ghaqda Studenti tal-Ligi, as Editor-in-Chief, and later as the Society’s Treasurer.
His main practice areas are in Civil, Corporate, Commercial and Gaming law. Sean is currently preparing to earn his Warrant to Practice Law in 2021.
In his spare time, Sean enjoys travelling, reading, discovering different foods and learning languages.
